Description

This chest tomb, dated 1799, is located approximately 2 meters west of the tower of the Church of St Michael in Wartnaby. It is made of slate and features plain pilastered corners. One of the long sides has an inscription commemorating Violetta, the wife of John Bullivant and the only grandchild of Robert Wartnaby, who died on 4 September 1799 at the age of 24.
