Description

The chest tomb, dated 1795, is located north of the chancel of St Michael's Church in Cornwood. It is made of granite and features a monolithic design with a moulded lid that is cut from the same piece as the chest. The tomb has hollow-chamfered corners and panelled sides, with an inscription that reads: "Under this stone tomb lie the remains of Thomas Vivian Vicar of this Parish from 1747 to 1795."
