Description

The churchyard wall at the Church of All Saints is likely from the 18th century, although it has older origins and has undergone repairs in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared ironstone and coursed ironstone rubble, topped with grey sandstone coping. The low wall encloses and retains the churchyard, particularly on the south side where the ground slopes down. There is a semi-circular 'bastion' opposite the porch that serves as a belvedere. A timber gate provides access to the churchyard, and there is a low ironstone gate pier with sandstone caps.
