Description
The Blue Bell Public House is a public house located on Main Street in Hoby, dating from the 18th century with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of red brick, which has been painted, and features a thatched roof with brick ridge and end stacks. It has a three-unit plan and is two stories tall with a two-window range. The ground floor has three-light casement windows, with the center and right windows having segmental-arched heads. On the first floor, there are a pair of two-light casements set in eyebrow dormers. The building has a painted ironstone plinth and a renewed brick-coped gable on the right side. Inside, there is a chamfered spine beam and an open fireplace with a stop-chamfered bressumer.
