Description

This is an early 19th-century cottage, originally used as a post office and smithy. It is constructed of brick in an irregular bond, with a Swithland slate roof and brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and a 2-storey, 2-window front. A central plank door is set within a moulded wooden surround, above which is a blank fanlight and a round-arched head. The ground and first floors each have 2-light casement windows with pointed arched heads. The eaves are detailed with cogged brickwork. The interior has not been inspected.
