Description
Glebe Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1774, with alterations made in the 20th century and an extension from the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and has a Swithland slate roof, with brick ridge and end stacks. The building features a 3-unit plan and is two stories high with a three-window range.
On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century two-light casement window to the left of center, a one-light window to the right of center, and a three-light casement window at the far right, all with segmental-arched heads. The first floor has three-light casements with wooden lintels. The farmhouse has an ironstone plinth that has been patched with brick, and it features stepped brick eaves. The far left end bay is a 19th-century addition.
The right side elevation facing Main Street includes a six-panel, part-glazed door with a segmental-arched head, and there is a slate diamond datestone on the gable inscribed with B/TW/1774. The interior has not been inspected.
