Description

The churchyard cross in Hoby with Rotherby is a medieval structure that has been repaired in the 20th century. It is made of limestone and features a square base with five steps leading up to it. The base is supported by a square plinth that has broach stops at the uppermost angles. The cross itself has an octagonal shaft topped with a moulded cap and a foliated cross, which is not original but is likely a re-used medieval gable cross.
