Description

The village pump and pump shelter in Knipton is a mid-19th century water pump made of ironstone. It features a square section lever housing with chamfered corners, which stands on a rectangular plinth that also supports a rounded water bowl. The top of the lever housing has a plain cornice that ends in a ball finial. The gabled timber shelter is supported by square section posts and has a roof covered with wooden shingles.
