Description
The Red House Inn is a public house located on Croxton Lane in Knipton. It was built in the early 19th century and constructed from brick with a graded slate roof. The building has two and a half storeys and is arranged in three bays. A late 19th-century grey brick square porch with a hipped roof is featured at the front. The windows are late 19th-century plate glass sashes set beneath segmental arches and equipped with shutters. A platband runs along the first floor. The roof is gabled and includes partly external gable-end stacks. There are later brick extensions on both the right and left sides of the building. Inside, the inn retains a closed string staircase with turned balusters and a ramped handrail.
