Description

House. Built in the late 19th century, this building is an example of Vernacular Revival style architecture. It is constructed of brick with slate roofs. The house is arranged in an "H" shape, with three central bays flanked by projecting gable ends. It is a single storey in height, with a dormer attic. A gabled porch shelters the central front door, with a casement window on either side. The central bays have casement windows, while the others are sash windows, all with decorative hood moulds. Three gabled dormers are set into the roof. Three symmetrically placed brick stacks rise from the ridge. The cross wings have sash windows with glazing bars. The returns to the cross wings have two gabled dormers built into the eaves. Decorative wavy bargeboards adorn the gable heads and the internal end stacks.
