Cold Overton (west side) 11/104 Former laundry, adjoining out- building, boundary wall and gate piers to north of Cold Overton Hall

Former laundry, now a house, adjoining outbuilding, boundary wall and gatepiers. Mid C17, late C18, mid C19 and early C20. Coursed and squared ironstone and limestone with ashlar dressings and half-hipped Collyweston slate and pantile roofs. Single grouped lateral and external corner coped stone stacks. 2 storeys plus attics, 3 bays. South end has a central panelled C20 door. Above, to left, a chamfered stair light. Above again, a central 3 light mullioned casement with moulded mullions. East side has, to right, a casement. Above, 3 C19 wooden mullioned casements, 3 lights with wooden lintels. Above again, a slate hung gabled dormer with a 2 light casement. Beyond, to left, moulded coped boundary wall with a range of C20 sheds under a wooden canopy. North side has a square hatch and above it, a large opening with closely set wooden diamond mullions, and shutters. Above again, a 3 light mullioned casement. Beyond, to left, a boundary wall with a chamfered stone doorway. Beyond, a lean-to outbuilding with a door to right. Beyond again 2 late C18 square rusticated gatepiers with ball finials, overthrow with central lamp, and iron gates. Interior has a notable stone spiral staircase. This building forms part of the original outbuildings to Cold Overton Hall.
