Description
The garden and boundary walls to the east of Cold Overton Hall date from the mid 17th century and early 20th century, with some remodeling in the mid 20th century. They are constructed from coursed and squared ironstone, featuring limestone dressings and moulded ramped gabled coping.
The northern section is approximately 35 meters long and includes a gateway with an unusual scrolled shaped gable topped with ball finials, along with a well-crafted wrought iron gate. The southern section extends about 250 meters and has a similar gateway and gate to the north, while to the south there is a 19th-century studded door flanked by square piers, one of which has a finial. The central lower section, approximately 40 meters long, features two rusticated round piers with crenellated caps and obelisk finials.
