Description

Edmondthorpe War Memorial is situated in the churchyard of St Michael and All Angels’ Church. It features a Latin cross adorned with carved trefoil tracery on the arms and a carved collar. The cross is mounted on a tapering hexagonal shaft that rises from a square plinth.

The plinth bears inscriptions and names, which read: IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF/ MEN OF EDMONDTHORPE/ WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 – 1919/ (NAMES).

The memorial is elevated on a two-stepped hexagonal base and is made of Clipsham stone.
