Description

Four gate piers form the gateway to Bosworth Park. They are probably from the late 19th century but are designed in the style of the 17th century. The piers are made of rusticated limestone ashlar. The taller inner piers feature fluted applied shafts with scrolled volutes on their inner faces. Above the cornice, there are urns with ramified capping. The smaller outer piers have similar detailing but are topped with ball finials.
