Description
The Walled Garden, Greenhouses, and Tower in Market Bosworth date from around 1885. The garden is enclosed by a brick wall topped with stone copings and ball finials at intervals. The south wall features wrought iron gates with ramified urns on the flanking piers. A prominent clock tower rises from the north wall, where the orangery once stood. This tower is constructed of brick with stone dressings and is connected to the wall by a curving balustrade. It has two stages above the wall, with a blank recessed archway on the first stage and a statue in a niche above, framed by a shell motif and a broken pediment. The tower is topped with a balustraded parapet. To the south of the tower are paired symmetrical greenhouses, while outside the garden area is a range of potting sheds in a Dutch style, featuring shaped gables and gauged brickheads on mullioned and transomed windows. A bungalow located in the corner of the garden is not considered of special interest.
