Description

The Iron Bridge is a late 19th-century bridge located over a moat in Market Bosworth. It features a suspension-type construction with iron chain links that suspend bands and a decorative rail adorned with sunflower motifs and arches. At each end of the bridge, there are four cast iron posts that are moulded and topped with bail finials, along with smaller posts that are linked from the top to the base of the main posts by a pair of spiral cast-iron bracing members. The bridge is supported at both ends by blue brick piers that have moulded stone copings.
