Description

This house, or lodge to Bosworth Park, dates from circa 1890 and is built in a neo-Dutch style. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. The building is square in plan and symmetrical, with each elevation featuring an ornate Dutch gable. The main doorway is framed by a bolection moulded architrave and flanked by a four-light stone mullioned and transomed window. Above this is another four-light mullioned and transomed window, and a stone cartouche with scrolled volutes. The side elevations also contain four-light mullioned and transomed windows. The hipped roof rises to a central stack with terracotta panels and decorative stone bands. A stone modillion eaves cornice finishes the building.
