Description
Highfield Farmhouse is a late 18th century to 19th century farmhouse constructed of red brick, featuring a slate roof with coped gables and kneelers, as well as two gable stacks. The building is designed in an L-plan and has a west-facing front with bands at the first and second floors and a dentilled cornice. It stands at 2½ storeys tall and consists of three bays. The off-centre doorway is framed by a 19th century gabled porch and a four-panel door. Flanking the doorway are single three-light mullion and transom casements with segmental arches. Above the doorway, there are two similar windows with cambered arches, and further up, two three-light casements with wooden lintels. All the casements date from the 19th century.
