Description
Poplar Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with 20th-century alterations, located on the east side of Poultney Lane in Kimcote. The building is constructed of red brick and features a 20th-century concrete tile roof with two gable stacks. It has an L-plan layout and stands two storeys high with an attic.
The south front of the farmhouse includes a plinth, a first-floor band, and a dentilled cornice. The central doorway features a four-panel part-glazed door with a glazed overlight. Flanking the doorway are single three-light windows with mullions and transoms. Above the door, there is a similar two-light window, with single three-light windows on either side. All window and door openings are topped with cambered arches. The roof also has two 20th-century skylights.
