Description
The White House is a house built in 1834 as an extension to the Old Rectory in Kimcote. It is constructed of brick, which is now rendered, and features a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and two lateral stacks. The north front has two storeys and three bays. The doorway is off-centre and has a six-panel door with an overlight. To the left of the door is a very small window, and to the right are two glazing-bar sash windows. Above the door, there are three more glazing-bar sash windows. All openings have painted flat arches. There is a 20th-century garage extension to the right. Inside, there is an open-well staircase with an open string, featuring two turned balusters per tread, a moulded handrail, and a newel post topped with a ball.
