Description

The well head, pump, and railing date from 1855 and are located on the northeast side of Main Street in Beeby. The well head is constructed of rusticated rubble and features a stepped pyramidal shape with three tiers, topped flat. It has an opening at the front with an iron cover and a date stone, along with a rhymed inscription on the side. The adjacent pump is made of cast iron, showcasing a fluted shaft and a concave cap. Surrounding both the well head and the pump is a low cast iron railing that runs between stone bollards.
