Description
The Manor House is a house, probably largely from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a Swithland slate roof. The building has two storeys and four bays, with the left bay projecting beneath a coped gable. Each floor contains a 12-light sash window. The main range has a central doorway framed by a fine lugged architrave, with well-crafted scroll work beneath a small canopy or open pediment, which is not original to the building and dates from around 1740. To the left of the doorway is a full-height canted bay window with paired 15-light sashes that have cambered heads. To the right, there is another 12-light sash window on each floor, and a 16-light sash window is located above the doorway. A string course runs at ground floor level, and there is a wooden eaves cornice. The house has axial brick stacks. Behind the left gable, there is a wing that contains a tall central round-arched window with margin lights, which illuminates the stairs.
