Description
Little Beeby Farmhouse, also known as Lodge Farm, is a house that dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill and a thatched roof. The left side has four bays of timber framing set on a cobble plinth, designed in a box frame style with large square panels that are two panels high, continuous vertical posts, and some arch bracing. The brickwork in the angles between the posts and braces is laid in a herringbone pattern. The right-hand bay shows no visible plinth or timber framing except for a single vertical corner post, suggesting it may be a separate build or a rebuild.
The doorway is located in the second bay from the right, featuring a renewed door within a new porch. Above this doorway, as well as in the left-hand bay, there are renewed casement windows. In the right-hand bay, a renewed casement window has been installed, cutting across the cambered head of a former single light. There is one three-light dormer window in the right-hand bay and two other dormers on the left. An axial stack is positioned behind the entry, and there is a wood-cased pump against the wall to the right of the doorway.
