Description

The Home Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house constructed of distinctive Flemish bond brickwork, incorporating slightly blue headers. It has a low-pitched roof covered with Swithland slate. The house is two storeys high and originally comprised four bays, although the left-hand bay contains only blind openings on each floor. A central doorway is flanked by three bays, featuring an overlight above. The windows are 16-light sashes with horns, except for the window above the doorway, which is narrower and contains 12 lights. All window and door openings are topped with slightly cambered gauged brick heads. A wooden eaves cornice runs around the building, with dentilling on the north wing. Brick gable end stacks are present on the property.
