Description
No. 14 Meeting Street is a cottage, originally a pair, built around 1840. It is constructed from granite rubble stone with stone dressings and features a Swithland slate roof, adorned with a brick ornamental ridge and stacks at the right end. The building has one storey and includes three 3-light wooden mullion windows with patterned iron lights. The door is located to the centre right, and all windows are topped with Tudor style moulded hood moulds. There are also three 2-light dormers with similar patterned lights. On the ends, there is a blank first-floor window with a hood mould, and its frame and patterned lights are painted in a trompe l'oeil style. The cottage has group value with No. 12 to the left, which is nearly identical.
