Description
The Plough Inn is a public house dating from the 17th century, with significant extensions added in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, although much of the framing has been rendered and painted over. It has a granite plinth, which is partly rendered and whitewashed, and is topped with a thatched roof. The structure is two storeys high and consists of two bays. On the ground floor, there are two 20th-century bowed leaded windows, and above them, there is a four-light wooden casement window. To the left, there is a 20th-century glazed door. Attached to the left side of the original building is a large 19th-century extension made of whitewashed brick with a slate roof. This extension is also two storeys tall and features three ground floor windows similar to those in the original part, along with two irregular 20th-century wooden casement windows on the first floor. There are also 20th-century flat-roofed extensions at the rear.
