Description

No. 4 The Drive is a house that was originally one of the cottage homes built by the Leicester Poor Law Union in 1884, designed by architect I. Baradale. The building is constructed of brick and features a Welsh slate roof with a cruciform plan. It has a similar design to numbers 2, 7, and 9 The Drive, but the plan and elevations are mirrored, resulting in the main entrance being located on the right side of the projecting bay, while a catslide roof is positioned on the left side. The windows and chimney details are consistent with those of the other cottages.
