Description
Lodge Cottage at Hilton Lodge is an early 19th-century building with a 20th-century addition and alterations. It is constructed of painted brick and features a slate roof with overhanging eaves, decorative bargeboards, and a central brick ridge stack, along with another brick stack on the east gable. The cottage is single storey and consists of three bays, with the eastern bay being lower and added later.
The north elevation has three pointed windows; the two on the west side have diamond paned metal windows, while the eastern window has a glazing bar fixed window with a small opening casement. The west gable wall features a 20th-century gabled porch in the center, which has a glazed door and decorative bargeboards. On either side of the porch are small pointed windows with diamond paned metal windows. The rear elevation includes a 20th-century addition.
