Description

A terrace of three cottages stands on High Street in the parish of Ticknall. The cottages were built in the middle and late 18th century. They are constructed of red brick and painted brick, with a plain tile roof, a brick ridge, and gable stacks. A dentil eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The two-storey west elevation has six bays. Number 41 is double fronted. It features a segment-headed doorway with a plank door, flanked by three-light segment-headed windows. Above, there are two flat-arched three-light casements. Numbers 43 and 45 to the right have a window, a door, a window, a door, a window, and a window – all with segment heads, and featuring 20th-century doors and three-light casements. Four three-light flat-arched casements are situated above. A plain first floor band is present on part of Number 41. The terrace is listed for group value only.
