Description

Pitt's Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on Main Street, Smisby. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and a central brick stack. The building features a chamfered plinth and simple bands on the first and second floors. The south elevation has two bays. A doorway, originally a window, is positioned to the left and has a segment-headed surround with a 20th-century half-glazed door. To the right of the doorway is a three-light segment-headed window. Two two-light segment-headed windows are located above. A staircase window is visible on the west side. The interior includes a closed-string dogleg staircase with flat stick balusters. The main ground floor room contains an inglenook fireplace.
