Description
The Toll House is a cottage that has been converted into a house, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a hipped plain tile roof with a brick ridge stack. The building stands two storeys high. The canted end facing the main road has a doorway on the right, which has a chamfered surround and a plank door. To the left of the doorway are two 2-light casement windows, also with chamfered surrounds. Above these, there are two similar windows flanking a larger blind recessed panel that was used for the toll board. The east elevation has two bays with four similar windows. The canted north end has been extended by a single-storey addition that is not of special interest, which continues around the west side.
