The Bottle Kiln at Hill Top Works, associated with Neville Lumb and Company Limited, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and has a circular plan. This large bottle kiln is notable for its tall and broad outline, rising above the hipped slate roof of the plain pottery works building in which it is situated, as well as the surrounding structures.
