Description
Monk's Flood Bridge is a road bridge that carries the old Derby to Burton road. It was built in the late 18th century and is constructed from coursed squared sandstone and sandstone ashlar. The bridge features a small single segmental arch and has a plain band at the base of the parapet. The parapet walls curve out at each end, leading to octagonal end piers topped with shallow pyramidal caps. The bridge is finished with rounded copings.
