Description
Toll Bar Cottage is an early 19th-century building that has been converted into a house. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone with gritstone dressings and quoins. The roof is made of plain tiles, featuring a band of stone slates at the eaves, and there is a central brick ridge stack. The cottage is single storey and consists of a single bay. On the west side, there is a large ogee gable. The north elevation has a flush quoined doorcase with a glazed, panelled door. On the south side, there is a large six-pane window with a single-pane casement. The north elevation also includes two narrow windows from the 20th century. Additionally, there is a large rendered extension on the south side.
