Description
Ford Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1750, with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed from coursed squared coal measures sandstone, featuring ashlar dressings, quoins, coped gables with moulded kneelers, and gable brick stacks with moulded caps. The roof is covered with Welsh slate. The house has a T-plan layout and consists of three storeys with three bays. Originally, it had stacked 2-light flush mullioned windows, but these have been replaced by 20th-century casements with single glazing bars. The ground floor windows are now 20th-century semi-circular bays. There is a central doorway with a massive quoined surround and a 20th-century door. At the rear, a single bay lower two-storey range projects from the main structure.
