Description
Dowland Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was remodelled in the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble coal measures sandstone and features quoins, plain gables, and both ridge and gable brick stacks. The building has a Welsh slated roof and is designed in an 'L' plan.
The south elevation has two storeys and two bays, with stacked 2-light flush mullioned windows that have 19th-century glazing bar casements. There is a later doorway at the west end, which includes a 20th-century four-panelled door. On the rear wall of the main range, there is a single light window with a 17th-century surround located at the centre.
