Description
The outbuildings at Top O'Th' Plane, which were formerly workshops of the Peak Forest Tramway, were built in 1796 by Benjamin Outram. They are constructed from gritstone with rock-faced gritstone dressings and feature slate roofs. The buildings are arranged in an L-plan and are single storey. The north and east fronts have central tram doors set within segment-headed rock-faced gritstone surrounds, and these are flanked by single glazing bar windows in similar surrounds. The north gable wall includes a single tram door and a single window, while the east gable wall has two similar windows, one of which is now blocked.
