Description
The outbuildings and former outbuildings to the west of the Barley Mow Inn date from the 18th century and later, consisting of three sections. They are constructed of coursed gritstone rubble and topped with plain tile roofs.
The eastern part is two-storeys high and features two stone-framed windows on the first floor of the south side, with 20th-century casements. There is a brick gable end stack at the west end and an external stone staircase on the north side.
The middle part has a 2-light mullion window on the ground floor of the south side, with flat-faced mullions and surrounds, and angle quoins.
The western part has been modernized into dwellings, but this conversion has not diminished the traditional character of the buildings, although most features are from the 20th century. This listing is included for its group value.
