Description
Duncote Farmhouse is a late 18th century farmhouse that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone and features a plain tile roof with stone coped gables and moulded kneelers. The gable ends have brick stacks. The building is two storeys high.
The east elevation has an off-centre doorway topped with a massive stone lintel that has quoins, and this lintel is dated 1799. To the right of the doorway is a 19th century casement window with stone voussoirs. To the left is an 18th century staircase window with stone jambs, a lintel, and a sill. Further to the left is another similar 19th century window with stone voussoirs. The first floor has two similar windows. Inside, there is a fireplace with a massive stone lintel supported by brackets and adorned with a moulded cornice.
