Description

Rose Cottage is an 18th-century cottage constructed from coursed squared gritstone, topped with a plain tile roof and featuring a brick gable end stack at the north. The west elevation originally had a central doorway, which is now partly blocked to create a window, and is adorned with a stone lintel and large quoins. On either side of the doorway are two-light square section mullioned windows, with two similar windows located above. Inside, there is a fireplace that includes a massive stone lintel with a moulded cornice.
