Description
Ivy House is a house dating from the late 17th century, which was encased in brick in the mid 18th century. It features red brick construction with a plain tile roof and a brick ridge stack. The building has a first-floor brick band and a plain eaves band. It is two storeys tall with a lobby entrance plan. The south elevation has three bays, with a central doorway that includes a raised and fielded panel door, and a lean-to porch supported by two rough poles. On either side of the doorway are 3-light wooden casements with segmental heads, and to the right, there is a similar 2-light window. Above, there are two more 3-light windows flanking a small circular window. Inside, the house contains inglenook fireplaces, exposed beams, stud partitions, and a staircase featuring splat balusters.
