Description

Old Hall is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile hipped roof with two brick stacks located in the pitch of the roof. The building has a first-floor brick band and stands two storeys high. The southeast elevation is symmetrical, consisting of three broad bays. The central doorway has a gauged brick head and is fitted with a six-panelled door. On either side of the doorway are 3-light wooden casement windows, also under gauged brick heads. Above, there are two similar windows under gauged brick heads, with a narrower window in the center that has a gauged brick head and a 20th-century window. Inside, the house has a broad central corridor that runs the full depth of the building, with a dogleg staircase at the end. The cellars are brick vaulted, and there is a brick tunnel vaulted underground passage leading off from them.
