Description

The structure located 20 metres south west of the Cottage and Weaver Cottage in Cromford is of uncertain function, possibly serving as a fire appliance store. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century, as indicated on the 1841 Tithe Map. The building is constructed from roughly coursed rubble and features a double thickness gently sloping slab roof. It has a small, square plan and originally had a single opening that was firmly secured with a bolted door.
