Description

Number 9 Market Place is a building from 1839, located on the west side of the Market Place. It is constructed of 19th-century red brick, possibly incorporating earlier materials. The facade is plain and features two sash windows with single glazing bars, two gabled dormers topped with spike finials, and moulded stone eaves. There is a blocking course and tiled roof. The shop front is also from the 19th century. This building is listed as Grade II for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Nos 4 to 13 (consecutive) and No 15.
