Description
No. 11 Market Place is an early 19th-century building constructed of ashlar stone, with the left side featuring a later facing of coursed stone rubble. It has a three-light sash window without glazing bars, topped by a semi-circular tripartite window, and a plain band at the first floor. The building is adorned with moulded stone eaves, a blocking course, and a slate roof. The 19th-century shop fronts include side pilasters and cornices on bold consoles, with the left-hand cornice topped by cast iron brattishing. This building is listed as Grade II for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Nos 4 to 13 (consecutive) and No 15.
