Description
Dale House is a late 18th-century building located on the west side of Market Place. It is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys high with three bays, the central bay being slightly advanced. The building features three windows with modern fenestration, while the central windows are highlighted by moulded architraves with cornices. The entrance is framed by a stuccoed doorcase with plain pilasters that have moulded caps, flanking a Roman arch. This doorcase supports a moulded cornice with a triglyph frieze and a pediment above. The eaves are moulded stone, and there is a central pediment as well. The building has modern shop fronts. Dale House is part of a group that includes Nos 4 to 13 and No 15.
