Description

19 Market Place is a building likely dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble and has three storeys. The façade features two sash windows with single glazing bars, a decorative band, and a moulded stone eaves cornice. The roof is covered with slates. The modern shop front retains an earlier cornice and has stone pilasters on the sides. This building is listed as Grade II for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Nos 19 to 23 (consecutive) and the premises occupied by Westminster Bank.
