Description
The entrance block to Elder Yard Unitarian Chapel is an early 19th-century structure with a stone-faced facade featuring a plinth and a stone band at the first-floor sill. It has a hipped roof covered with modern pantiles and stands two storeys high with three windows, the central bay being slightly advanced. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, primarily in the upper lights. There is a central segmental carriageway arch with a keystone and iron gates. Under the archway, there are six panelled doors flanked by sashes with glazing bars. The rear facade, dating from around 1900, is made of red brick and includes a stone arch that rises to the center beneath a stone pediment, complete with an eaves cornice and balustrade, and features five windows. The rear is enclosed by a wall that connects to the graveyard of the Unitarian Chapel.
