Description
39 and 41 Holywell Street are late 18th century to early 19th century buildings that form part of a terraced corner block with No 39A and No 2 Devonshire Street. They feature a red brick facade with a moulded eaves cornice and a hipped slate roof, rising to three storeys. Each building has one window, which contains sashes with glazing bars and stuccoed lintels. The doors are located at the outer sides of each facade, adorned with stuccoed gauged brick arches and stuccoed reveals that include moulded impost bands and lintels. The doors also have radial fanlights with tracery above them, and the eight-panelled doors are designed with raised and fielded panels.
