Description

1 Sheffield Road is an 18th-century building constructed of red brick, featuring stuccoed quoins and a band above the plinth, as well as above the ground and first floors. The building has 19th-century bracketed eaves and a shallow pitched slate roof. It stands at two storeys, having been reduced to this height in the 19th century. The facade includes five sash windows with boxed frames, stuccoed keystones, and glazing bars, all set beneath gauged flat window arches. The central door is framed by a moulded stucco architrave with a cornice, and there are modern doors with fanlights.
